The power amplifier circuit configuration is the same as the Accuphase P-7500 stereo power amplifier. The power stage is configured as an instrumentation amplifier, and balanced remote sensing takes feedback from close to the speaker terminals. Speaker protection uses MOS-FET switches with very low on-resistance. The power supply sits in the center of the chassis, with a large toroidal transformer and two 47,000 µF filtering capacitors.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003ePreamplifier\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eVolume is set by Balanced AAVA, with two AAVA modules per channel. AAVA produces multiple signals from the input and sets the level by changing their combination. Its current-to-voltage stage uses ANCC to cancel noise and distortion. The volume sensor is carved from a single aluminum block.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eOption boards\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTwo rear slots take Accuphase option boards. With a DAC-60 installed, the front display shows the incoming sampling frequency.
