Signal and power paths are kept very short.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003ePower supply and chassis\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe power supply combines power factor correction, a custom switch-mode design and Belleson super-regulated outputs. It is built for very low noise and for stable operation as AC mains conditions change. The chassis starts as a solid block of aluminum that is CNC machined, bead blasted and anodized. The construction also provides shielding, resonance control and thermal management.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eControls\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eVolume is set by a 100-step resistor ladder. Each of the four line inputs keeps its own gain and balance settings. The front-panel LCD covers these settings, Home Theater Bypass for use with an AV processor, and display brightness.
