Tube Amplification, Built and Wound by One Polish Family
Fezz Audio is a family company in Białystok, Poland, building vacuum-tube amplifiers, DACs, and phono stages by hand. It grew out of Toroidy, the transformer manufacturer the Lachowski family has run since 1991 — which is why Fezz is one of the few tube brands in the world that winds its own toroidal output transformers in-house, rather than buying them in. In a tube amplifier, that transformer is most of the sound.
What Fezz delivers is the reason people fall for valve amplification in the first place: tone color, body, and an unforced, human quality to voices and instruments. What it leaves out is the rest of the stereotype. Every Fezz amplifier is auto-biased, so the owner never adjusts a tube. Every one ships with a remote and a protective tube cage. And every one is built into a thick steel chassis with concealed fasteners — a design the company earned a Red Dot Design Award for in 2023.
The range runs from the Luna and Titania MK2 push-pull integrateds, through the 300B single-ended Mira Ceti and Lybra, up to the dual-mono Olympia integrated and the Olympia monoblocks — plus tube DACs developed with Lampizator, tube phono stages, a moving-coil step-up transformer, and two valve headphone amplifiers. Every model is offered across the full Fezz color range — Black Ice, Sunlight, Big Calm, Burning Red, Moonlight, Evergreen, and Republika — with Black Ice and Sunlight stocked as standard and the other finishes built to order as a special order, allowing up to 12 weeks for delivery.
