Fezz Audio Gaia Prestige Phono Stage

Gaia Prestige is the accessible entry to tube phono in the Fezz Audio line — a valve phono stage for both moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges. It is the component that gives a turntable the tonal body and ease the rest of a Fezz system is built around. At its price it is the most affordable Fezz component of any kind, and the natural place to begin for the vinyl listener adding a tube phono stage from a serious maker.

A phono stage does two jobs a regular line input cannot: it applies the RIAA equalization curve every record is cut with, and it provides the large amount of clean gain a cartridge's tiny signal needs. Gaia Prestige does both with a tube gain stage, handling moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges so it can sit at the front of most turntable setups. Its power supply is built on a toroidal transformer wound in-house by Fezz, drawing on the family's three decades of transformer engineering through its sister company, Toroidy.

MM and MC Compatible. Gaia Prestige accepts both moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges, covering the great majority of turntables and cartridges in use.

Tube Phono Gain. A valve gain stage gives the turntable signal the tonal body and ease that define the Fezz sound, applied at the front of the system where it carries through everything downstream.

In-House Toroidal Transformer. The Gaia Prestige power supply is built on a toroidal transformer wound in-house by Fezz, a capability the family has from Toroidy, its transformer house operating since 1991.

Finishes. The Fezz colored steel chassis is a signature of the brand, and Gaia Prestige is offered across the full Fezz Audio color range — Black Ice, Sunlight, Big Calm, Burning Red, Moonlight, Evergreen, and Republika — so the phono stage can be chosen to suit the room it will live in. Black Ice and Sunlight are the standard stocked finishes; the others are built to order as a special order, so please allow up to 12 weeks for delivery.
