Von Schweikert Audio has been at the forefront of American loudspeaker engineering for more than three decades. Founder Albert Von Schweikert developed the company's signature triple-wall laminate cabinet construction in 1994, working with lab partners from Caltech — an outer layer of resin-based HDF, a middle layer of synthetic stone, and an inner layer of dense woven damping material, all bonded into a roughly three-inch composite that remains the gold standard for non-resonant enclosure design today. Cabinets have been built in California by the same second-generation American craftsmen for nearly five decades, and every painted finish is hand-applied by Fausto Reyes — formerly of Fender's custom shop, where he painted guitars for the likes of Prince and Aerosmith.

Each model is available in fully passive form or with the optional Foundation Hybrid Bass System, an 800-watt analog amplifier dedicated to the woofers that allows precise in-room bass tuning without DSP in the signal path.
