HzProject: Korean Precision for the Network-Audio Era

HzProject is a South Korean firm building digital source components for the streaming-first listener — music servers, Roon cores, network isolators. The first HzCORE was launched in the Korean domestic market in late 2022; the international release followed once the design had been refined in the hands of its first owners. The brand's premise is straightforward: as analog signal paths get shorter and the music increasingly arrives over Ethernet, the quality of the source — its power supply, its clock, its mechanical isolation — becomes the limit on what the rest of the system can do. HzProject builds for that reality.

The current range centers on the HzCORE, a fanless music server in a 15mm-thick aluminum chassis. Inside, every functional block has its own enclosure: a CNC-machined aluminum cell for the SSDs, a layered aluminum-and-wood housing for the oven-controlled crystal oscillator clock, copper-shielded enclosures for the dual transformers, and five independently regulated linear power rails feeding the mainboard, Ethernet, clock, OCXO, and storage. The intent is component-by-component noise rejection rather than one chassis hoping to do everything at once. The complementary HzCORE Platform — a tripod-outrigger base with Stillpoints decoupling — and the Hz LAN Isolator round out the line for owners who want the full architecture.

Hi-Fi+ named the HzCORE Highly Commended in their 2026 Awards (Server Under £15k category), describing the result simply: "It's still my system, but better."
