Fezz Audio Gratia Prestige MK2 MM/MC Phono Stage

Gratia Prestige MK2 is the step-up tube phono stage in the Fezz Audio line: a low-noise valve design for moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges, with adjustable loading. That adjustability is the key difference from the entry Gaia Prestige — it lets the phono stage be matched precisely to a specific cartridge rather than accepting fixed values. For the vinyl listener with a cartridge worth optimizing around, Gratia Prestige MK2 is the Fezz phono stage that does it.

A phono stage applies the RIAA equalization curve and provides the gain a cartridge needs, and a more committed analog setup also wants control over loading — the resistance and capacitance the cartridge sees, which affects tonal balance and is most consequential with moving-coil cartridges. Gratia Prestige MK2 makes that loading adjustable, and does its amplification with a low-noise tube gain stage, so the gain stays quiet even as the cartridge signal is small. Its power supply is built on a toroidal transformer wound in-house by Fezz, drawing on the family's three decades of transformer engineering through its sister company, Toroidy.

Adjustable Loading. Cartridge loading is adjustable, so Gratia Prestige MK2 can be matched precisely to a specific moving-magnet or moving-coil cartridge rather than working to fixed values.

Low-Noise Tube Design. A low-noise valve gain stage keeps the phono signal quiet while delivering the tonal body of tube amplification — important when the cartridge signal being amplified is very small.

MM and MC Compatible. Gratia Prestige MK2 accepts both moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges.

In-House Toroidal Transformer. The Gratia Prestige MK2 power supply is built on a toroidal transformer wound in-house by Fezz, a capability the family has from Toroidy, its transformer house operating since 1991.

Finishes. The Fezz colored steel chassis is a signature of the brand, and Gratia Prestige MK2 is offered across the full Fezz Audio color range — Black Ice, Sunlight, Big Calm, Burning Red, Moonlight, Evergreen, and Republika — so the phono stage can be chosen to suit the room it will live in. Black Ice and Sunlight are the standard stocked finishes; the others are built to order as a special order, so please allow up to 12 weeks for delivery.
