Bricasti M11 Classic R-2R DAC

The M11 Classic is Bricasti Design's resistor-ladder converter. It uses a 20-bit R-2R ladder DAC built with laser-cut resistor arrays, and its design draws heavily on the M1 Classic.

Timing is handled by Bricasti's own clocking, and the MDx processor runs Bricasti's proprietary filters. Outputs are balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA, and the balanced output level is adjustable or can be set to a fixed level.

The architecture is upgradeable. A network player card allows playback from a server anywhere on the home network, and an I2S input connects the M11 directly to Bricasti's M19 SACD/CD transport. Each M11 Classic is built by hand in the USA.
