Digital audio is not just bits — it is timing. Lindemann’s own line for the Woodnote BRIDGE tells you what it is and what it leaves out: a pure digital streaming transport with no converter of its own, made to feed a DAC you already trust with a signal as clean and correctly timed as the network will allow.
Inside is a linear power supply built around an R-core transformer, with no DC/DC converters anywhere in the design — the same quiet-supply thinking that runs through the Woodnote line. A MEMS femto clock, multi-stage jitter reduction and synchronous re-sampling work together on the timing of the outgoing signal. That signal leaves on AES/EBU (XLR), coaxial RCA or TOSLINK, at up to 192 kHz / 24 bit, ready for the converter of your choice.
The BRIDGE reads WAV, FLAC, AIFF, ALAC, MP3, AAC, Ogg Vorbis, WMA and native DSD, and draws music from TIDAL, Qobuz, Deezer, HighResAudio and Spotify Connect, with TIDAL Connect and Qobuz Connect, gapless playback, internet radio and podcasts, and any UPnP/DLNA library on the network. Ethernet, dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are all on board. In the same 207 x 250 x 62 mm cabinet as its siblings, it is the quiet, well-timed front end for a separates system — the part of the chain most systems overlook.
