Trilogy 995R Mono Power Amplifier

The 995R is Trilogy's statement mono power amplifier, brought to fruition after four years of research and in the range since 2018. Its form is monolithic and architectural, with machined fins optimised to dissipate heat across massive radiation surfaces. Two 6H6П valves serve as voltage amplifiers, while small linear MOSFETs working with twelve Japanese bipolars form the push-pull compound output stage.

The circuit has no feedback, is fully balanced, and uses a bridged output stage. That means the negative loudspeaker connection has no reference to earth, keeping a large return current from the loudspeaker out of the signal ground. A discrete selector button on the rear cycles through three modes. Class AB delivers 200 watts into 8 ohms. Class A drops the operating voltage and raises quiescent current for 40 watts into 8 ohms. ecoA holds pure Class A whenever music is playing and reduces bias when no signal is present, returning instantaneously.

TASlink RJ45 sockets let connected Trilogy components communicate: run time, scheduling and amplifier status are read through a TASlink-enabled preamplifier. The 995R is a mono amplifier, used in pairs.
