Bricasti M21 Digital to Analog Converter

The M21 has three conversion paths in one chassis, selectable by the listener: a 24-bit delta-sigma DAC and a 20-bit R-2R ladder DAC for PCM, and a direct 1-bit converter for DSD. The MDx processor serves all three.

It is a dual mono design with independent power supplies for each channel and a fully differential output stage. Volume is controlled in the analog domain. At 0 dB the attenuator is bypassed by a hard-wired path, so the M21 can also feed an external preamplifier.

Inputs cover USB, AES, S/PDIF, Toslink and Ethernet, with the network player built in.
