Falcon Acoustics Gold Badge LS3/5A Bookshelf Speakers

Falcon Acoustics calls this the Gold Badge BBC-Licenced LS3/5a. It is hand-assembled by Falcon Acoustics in Oxford, England, and it follows the 12 years of research that led to the Kingswood Warren Special Edition.

The drive units are the Falcon B110 and the Falcon T27, both designed by Malcolm Jones, who designed the KEF B110 and KEF T27 specified in the original 15 ohm LS3/5A version designed by the BBC. Both are handmade in the UK and are unique to Falcon.

The matched 15 ohm Gold Badge FL6/23 filter networks are made exclusively by Falcon in the original transformer-style to BBC Specification. The inductors are made in Britain for Falcon to the original larger R&D specification. The capacitors are hand made in the UK using selected PP film.

Cabinets are hand made from graded Baltic Ply with selected grade Beech fillets, built in Italy by specialist cabinet makers to BBC Specification, with a Tygan cloth front grille.
