Fezz Audio Lybra 300B Integrated Amplifier

Lybra 300B answers the one real objection to the 300B triode: not enough power. It runs the 300B in a parallel single-ended configuration — two tubes per channel — for 2×15 watts, nearly double the output of a classic single-300B design, while keeping the single-ended Class A character fully intact. That extra headroom widens the range of loudspeakers the 300B can credibly partner. Lybra is the top of the Fezz Audio integrated line.

A parallel single-ended circuit keeps the directness of single-ended Class A — the short signal path, the tone purity — and recovers the drive that 8 watts cannot always supply. The result is the triode midrange in a form that works in more rooms and with more speakers. Both the power transformer and the output transformers are toroidal designs wound in-house by Fezz, drawing on the family's three decades of transformer engineering through its sister company, Toroidy. In a single-ended tube amplifier the output transformer is especially critical, and Fezz is one of very few makers that builds its own.

Parallel Single-Ended 300B. Two 300B tubes per channel, Class A, for 2×15 watts — the single-ended sound with close to twice the output of a single-tube design, and a wider choice of compatible loudspeakers.

Auto-Bias. Lybra 300B sets and holds the bias on its output tubes automatically. You never adjust a meter — even with four 300B tubes in play, there is no maintenance ritual.

In-House Toroidal Transformers. Fezz winds its own toroidal power and output transformers, a capability it has from Toroidy, the family transformer house operating since 1991. Toroidal output transformers offer wide bandwidth and low flux leakage, and they are central to the single-ended Fezz sound.

Finishes. The Fezz colored steel chassis is a signature of the brand, and Lybra 300B is offered across the full Fezz Audio color range — Black Ice, Sunlight, Big Calm, Burning Red, Moonlight, Evergreen, and Republika — so the amplifier can be chosen to suit the room it will live in. Black Ice and Sunlight are the standard stocked finishes; the others are built to order as a special order, so please allow up to 12 weeks for delivery.
