Electrical efficiency in the mid-90s combined with unlimited power handling makes the Ultra.7 equally at home with moderate-power tube amplifiers and the most powerful solid-state designs. Each frequency band provides individual frequency and level controls for precise in-room optimization.

At the core of the Ultra.7 is Von Schweikert's Quiet Cabinet — triple-wall construction developed in 1994 and refined across every successive flagship. Three bonded layers — HDF outer shell, synthetic stone intermediate layer, and dense woven damping material inner lining — combine to achieve cabinet resonance levels that are effectively inaudible. The result is a structural foundation silent enough that the drivers can resolve the full resolution of the signal without enclosure colorations masking low-level detail.

German-made Accuton ceramic cone drivers handle midrange and bass duties, their rigid, low-mass diaphragms delivering superior impulse response and vanishingly low stored energy. Danish beryllium tweeters extend the frequency response to 60kHz, providing headroom far above the audible band that ensures the uppermost octave arrives without phase shift or compression. A Rear Soundfield Creation system — a second high-frequency driver on the rear baffle — reconstructs the natural spatial cues that are otherwise lost in a direct-radiating design, restoring the three-dimensional envelopment of a live acoustic.

The optional Foundation Hybrid Bass System adds an 800-watt RMS amplifier module with analog-domain processing, providing placement flexibility unprecedented in a speaker of this scale. Drive the Ultra.7 with any amplifier of 60 watts or more and it scales to fill significant rooms; the Foundation option extends control over the last two octaves for rooms where boundary reinforcement demands active management.

Each Ultra.7 is hand-painted by artisan Fausto Reyes in Von Schweikert's California facility. Standard finishes include Bronze, Shark Blue, and Cadmium; custom colors are available by arrangement. No two pairs are identical. Designed and built in the United States.
