AC Power

Clean power is the foundation most systems skip. The AC entering a wall outlet in a typical home carries broadband noise from switching power supplies, EV chargers, LED dimmers, and the neighborhood's combined draw — and every component downstream of that outlet has to do its rejection work in the analog domain, where rejection is never perfect. Address the problem at the source and the rest of the system stops fighting.

Alma carries four approaches at four price tiers. GigaWatt from Poland builds series-mode conditioners and dedicated power distributors with reputation-leading filtering in the audiophile press. IsoTek spans entry-tier line conditioners through reference power management for the buyer who wants meaningful improvement without statement-tier outlay. Stromtank from Germany goes the other direction entirely — battery-isolated AC supplies that take the system off the grid for the duration of a listening session. AB-Tech's FRID is a parallel power cleaner, drawing noise off the line rather than blocking it. All four are auditioned at Alma West and Alma East, often A/B against the bare wall outlet so the delta is unambiguous.
