Bricasti M19 SACD/CD Reference Transport

The M19 is a dedicated CD and SACD transport with digital outputs only. It reads the disc and passes the data on exactly as mastered, and operation comes down to loading a disc and pressing play.

Power comes from two oversized linear supplies with medical-grade toroidal transformers. One runs the motor drive and loader; the other runs the digital circuits and audio path. Keeping them apart gives steady motor speed and stops interference passing from the drive to the audio electronics. Drive, supplies and output stages sit together in one milled aluminum chassis, with the power supply placed close to the drive and output sections to reduce RF interference and remove extra cables and connectors.

Outputs are AES/EBU on XLR, S/PDIF on RCA or BNC, and Bricasti's proprietary I2S on RJ45. The I2S link is designed for Bricasti DACs fitted with the I2S input and carries up to 384 kHz and native DSD128.

Connecting over I2S requires a Bricasti DAC fitted with the I2S input option.
